In Florida, the kid would have been dragged into the water by a gator. Close enough.

Fox, you are ridiculous and you’re alienating people. It’s the PRESIDENT!!! Everyone aired Bush, as this was his forum to speak (or drool, snarf, whatever) and you’re going to play “Lie To Me” instead?
No wonder Republicans are confused and running for their political lives.
Not sure about nationally, but in Miami, the Fox station aired the conference and played Lie to Me at midnight. And technically, even if they hadn’t aired it, they weren’t alienating anyone because it was on every single other station. You couldn’t miss the speech unless you wanted to. (Also in the article, Fox didn’t air a Bush conference when it was during prime-time in Nov 2001. November was sweeps and even after 9/11, the network thought their programming would be more profitable.)
Fox News =/ Fox Broadcasting. Very different money-making beasts, and very different target demographic.
- To the asshole who almost sideswiped me today on I-95, and kept trying to look sheepily away as I attempted to curse them out.
This is what they are spending time on in Tallahasse. The chamber is set to vote on this today.
“Ambler, R-Tampa, has filed an amendment to HB 7159 (The chamber’s bill that aims to repeal a variety of tax exemptions) that would establish a tax on “digital downloads” including music, audio books, ringtones and videos.”
Perhaps he just doesn’t want the house to pass the repeal of tax exemptions and is just adding this on, along with some other things, in order for it to fail. But what the hell do I know. It just sounds silly.
Edit: By the way, this is one of the Republicans that is making a bid for the Florida Senate that I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding the political maneuvering to get the crazies (please note that “crazies” does not equal all Republicans, but those special ones that are particular to the uniquely Floridian brand of conservatism) from the House into the Senate for 2010.
