Okay. Guys. Guys. Two things.
1) I’m a martial artist. I’ve been studying since I was seven. I wouldn’t even hesitate to say that I’m good at it. I have done work as a fight choreographer for film, and I am trained in stage combat as well.
2) I’m a contortionist. Yes. Again, since…

This used to be funny, but now it’s really just terrifying. We’re dealing with legislation that will completely change the face of the internet and free speech for years to come. Yet here we are, still at the mercy of underachieving Congressional know-nothings that have more in common with the slacker students sitting in the back of math class than elected representatives. The fact that some of the people charged with representing us must be dragged kicking and screaming out of their complacency on such matters is no longer endearing — it’s just pathetic and sad.

It was ever endearing? Or even funny?

So I feel a little dumb, but a little better.
Turns out the check didn’t bounce, the bank just deposited it into a nonexistent account. They issued me temporary credit for the check, and then reversed it this weekend without letting me know that the money was sitting somewhere that I had no access to. After some confusion on the phone, they are transferring it to the correct account.
The tenants are now only late for THIS month’s rent, so I’m still going to probably get them evicted. They said they will be sending certified funds this week, but I don’t trust this. Still talking to the lawyers on what’s the next step in all this and if I should wait to see if they are going to mail the funds.
The check my tenants gave me for the previous 3 months rent they owed bounced. Sooo… There goes my savings that I was starting to build to move back to LA. This is fucking ridiculous. I have to start over again & pay for lawyers to help me evict them and sue for owed rent. I want to punch things.

Went to see the Sherlock Sequel last night with Kelly.
I wasn’t expecting it, but the new Batman trailer aired before the movie! Both Kelly and I had the same reaction to what was happening on the screen.

Sherlock itself was a lot of fun. Cheeky humor and beautiful action sequences. There is one particular chase sequence that is absolutly gorgeous and horrifying at the same time. It’s shot so well and creatively.
Guy Ritchie did a great job. I wanted to rewatch Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels afterwards. :D
