Normally, I really dig Campbell’s art work (Danger Girl was fun!), but this cover is all sorts of weird and off. MJ’s cute, but that pose is… just bad. I get that the whole point is all “Oh look how sexy I am as I miss my boyfriend/husband while he goes to save the day.” Which would be fine, if the position she was sitting in was actually possible/comfortable. Seriously, try sitting that way.

You’re sitting around missing someone on a couch as soft looking as that one. Would you really be squooshing your boobs together, unbalanced with your weight off to the side, and holding a REALLY HOT looking cup of coffee with your bare hands? If she lifted her hands up to drink she’d topple right over.

Surely there was another solution to express “sexy lonely”, no?

(Also, Spidey’s knee looks like a penis and the coffee “steam” looks like spooge. But I think that’s funny. :D)
